Brewer Partnerships for 2025

Red Friday is a way to celebrate 20 years of service and support!

In 2025, are you ready to join us in commemorating 20 years of dedicated service and support to the military and public safety sectors? Friday, RED (Remember Everyone Deployed) is thrilled to invite you to celebrate this momentous occasion with us!

Lisa Miller and Karen Boire founded the RED Friday movement to honor our troops deployed in Afghanistan (wear red on Fridays), and they held their first media event in Canada in 2005. In September 2006, some 20,000 citizens gathered on Parliament Hill to honour the Canadian Armed Forces deployed to Afghanistan.

We are partnering with craft breweries and distilleries across North America to create a range of unique Red Friday-inspired spirits and beers. We are asking for five cents per can sold (or the equivalent per keg or liquor bottle). Can Praxis will use the proceeds from these sales to support our 2025 non-charge online peer support training and the Equine Therapy programs for military and public safety sector veterans.

As a craft brewery partner, you will enjoy a variety of benefits, including:

1) RF tap pull (handle) for use and/or framing, allowing you to proudly display your support for RED Friday.

2) Using the RF logo and promotional materials, as well as exposure on RF social media platforms, will help increase your brand's visibility.

3) A monthly partner-only newsletter featuring valuable business and event management tips, ensuring you stay ahead in the industry.

4) Introductions to veteran and safety sector communities, providing you with networking opportunities and the chance to forge meaningful connections.

5) The opportunity to interact with some of the people from whom Can Praxis and the online training program have benefited, giving you a firsthand understanding of the impact your support has.

6) Exclusive RF pub nights, where you can meet up with fellow supporters for a night of camaraderie and celebration.

Statement by the Prime Minister of Canada on the anniversary of the Red Friday Campaign launch in Canada
Statement

6 May 2013
Ottawa, Ontario

Prime Minister Stephen Harper today issued the following statement on the seventh anniversary of the Red Friday Campaign launch in Canada:

“Seven years ago today, Lisa Miller and Karen Boire launched the Red Friday movement in Canada. The premise of their campaign was simple: wear red on Fridays to show support for members of the Canadian Armed Forces who put their lives on the line defending our country’s peace and freedom.

“Since its inception, the campaign and related activities have generated significant awareness and appreciation of the many sacrifices made by our troops. It has also provided a focal point for every-day Canadians to demonstrate their profound gratitude and respect for those in uniform in a quiet deferential manner.

“As we mark this special anniversary, I salute the two founders of this movement and encourage Canadians to continue wearing red every Friday in honour of those defending our country’s sovereignty, its interests and its values both at home and abroad. It is a small yet significant gesture that means the world to those serving and to their families.”

Your generous support will enable us to expand our programs that encourage and support veterans to become volunteer firefighters across North America.
